Our Part in Sharing the Message in the Bottle

Coffee with friends is a wonderful thing.  It’s amazing the ideas that a good strong cup of java can create.  Take our story as an example.

Our children go to the same school, and by luck we happen to share the same housekeeper.  And we love Donna.  Turns out one day that Donna and Dana get to talking Tyler and his family.  Dana has a group he is consulting with that he believes Tyler could help develop and contacts him via email.  Even though Dana and his family live on the other side of the bay and our children go to the same school – we have yet to meet.

So at coffee at the Biscuit Eater we get to know each other exchange contacts and decide to go out to coffee again.  Now like busy professionals can be time seems to slip away… it was several weeks before Tyler contacts Dana and has an idea of how they could work together further.

Another steaming hot cup of coffee this time at Eli’s and Tyler presents a book idea he’s been working on for about a year.  It’s called “A Father’s Message in a Bottle”.  Tyler’s vision of this book is a series, and with Dana’s expertise in publishing and public relations a natural fit was imminent.  Dana loved the idea and we agreed to move forward in building the first in our series.

We are both very committed to this project because we believe that sometimes people don’t say the things that they would like to say as often as they should.  Leaving a legacy of love and caring for others can start by placing pen to paper… how often have you seen your grandparents gazing and rereading a note from a loved one, a letter from overseas, or a birthday card from their children.  The power of a carefully crafted note can change lives, can connect people, and can improve health and happiness for all who receive them.

And the rest as they say is history… and that’s where you are invited to be part of this tide of messages that can be sent to loved ones.  Drop a message in a bottle by clicking on any of the titles below and our editors and reading groups will design a book that will bring love to your heart and inspiration to others.
